A film scene at dusk is graded live: looks such as teal & orange, bleach bypass or day for night, colour wheels for shadows, midtones and highlights, tone curve and saturation. A vectorscope with skin tone line and a before/after wipe show that a look shifts colours by brightness range, while a simple colour filter tints everything alike.
