Dante's Inferno
The Hell of Dante's Commedia as a funnel beneath Jerusalem, cut open down to the centre of the Earth. Dante and Virgil descend through the vestibule and nine circles; for each circle the app shows sin, punishment (contrapasso), figures and canto. A diagram orders the circles after Inf. XI: incontinence, violence, fraud.
LiteratureTry itCharacter network
The character network of a play in 3D: characters are linked when they speak in the same scene. A timeline builds the network scene by scene. Share of speech and centrality (degree, betweenness) side by side, with DraCor data for Faust I, Intrigue and Love, Emilia Galotti and Mary Stuart.
LiteratureTry itMetre wave
Lines of classic German poems as waves of stressed and unstressed syllables. Foot schemes can be laid over the lines; the app marks where a scheme violates word stress. A beat track, read-aloud and tap-along make metre, line endings and rhythm audible, with rhyme shown separately.
