Allegory of the cave

About this app

Plato's allegory of the cave as a walkable 3D cave: from a prisoner's first-person view the shadows on the wall are the whole world; only the cross-section reveals fire, low wall and carriers. Seven stations lead from turning around through the ascent to the sun and back into the dark, with the eyes dazzled and adjusting. The four levels of the divided line and quotes with Stephanus references complete the picture.
