Klassenrunde: Abstimmen, Losen, Zeit
About this app
With explain mode: an AI tutor walks you through the app, points out what matters in the scene and answers your questions.
Joining in without devices
Many voting tools assume that everyone has a phone or tablet. The class round only needs a projector or smartboard: one person operates the screen, the class votes by show of hands, calls out or works in groups. The didactic core is commit first, then see. Whoever makes a prediction before the reveal is more curious about the result, and misconceptions come out into the open. In mathematics in particular it often turns out that the majority is wrong and only a proof decides.
What the app shows
At the top you choose one of three tools. When voting, a question and two to four large answer cards fill the screen, and in each card a level rises with the estimated hands. On reveal a spotlight hops ever slower across the cards, stops on the correct answer and shows shares, the majority and one sentence on the solution. The wheel carries four teams or typed names. For group work a calm ring runs on a 15-minute dial with large digits, and a soft gong sounds at the end.
Try it yourself
Pick a template from the six chapters of Maths without numbers, such as whether a relation can be symmetric and antisymmetric at once or whether there are more fractions than natural numbers, or type your own question. Drag the level of each card to the estimated number of hands and reveal. Spin the wheel with a flick, remove drawn names and set the timer by dragging the ring. Names and team points stay only in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
- How can a class vote without phones?
- By show of hands: the teacher shows the question and answers large on the projector, the class raises hands for each answer, and the teacher enters the estimated number. What matters is that everyone commits before the solution is shown.
- Why are prediction questions useful in maths lessons?
- Predicting first tests your own intuition and makes the reveal more memorable. Counter-intuitive questions, such as whether there are more fractions than natural numbers, expose misconceptions and show that in mathematics a proof decides, not the majority.
- How do you draw fairly who comes to the board?
- With a wheel on which all names or teams have equal segments. If drawn names are removed, nobody is picked twice until everyone has had a turn.
- Are the names of the class stored or sent?
- No. Names and team points stay only in the browser of the device you work on. The app does not send them anywhere.
