Die Bildebene schneidet den Sehkegel über einem Kreis schräg, daraus wird eine Ellipse. Der Film konstruiert sie über das Quadrat mit acht Punkten, zeigt, warum ihre Mitte vor dem Diagonalenkreuz liegt, die große Achse quer zur Radachse steht und Ellipsen zum Horizont hin flacher werden, bis zu Arkade, Tonne und Kreuzgrat.
