Stopping distance – why 20 km/h can decide a life
Driving theory · Stopping distance
An interactive explainer film on the German driving theory test (class B) in six chapters: a child steps onto the road 20 metres ahead. Reaction distance and the moment of shock, distraction by a phone, braking distance growing with the square of speed and the emergency stop, 30 versus 50 on the same road, a wet road and keeping half the speedometer as distance. The film stops and asks questions like the test, including calculations; after a wrong answer it shows the answer in the scene. In 13 languages, with every technical term also in German.
